Membership
Why Become a Member?
Membership helps OttawaPups cover event costs, community resources, and administrative expenses, and supports our goal of creating safer, welcoming spaces for everyone.
Membership also helps us:
- Plan and host community events
- Maintain safer-space practices and event support
- Grow OttawaPups responsibly
Membership Fees
- First-time joining fee: $40.00 CAD
- Renewal fee: $30.00 CAD
How to Pay
Choose one of the options below:
Option 1 — Pay by Square (Recommended)
You can pay your membership fee securely using Square. ($3.00 service charge applies)
Option 2 — Pay by Email Transfer (e-Transfer)
You can also pay by e-Transfer to:
Suggested e-Transfer details
- Amount: $40.00 (first-time) or $30.00 (renewal)
- Message (recommended): “Membership – First-time” or “Membership – Renewal” + your name (or chosen name)
- If your bank requires a security question, use something simple and share it with us by email (or we’ll provide one if preferred).
After You Pay
Once we receive your payment, we’ll follow up to confirm your membership and provide any next steps (if applicable).
If you don’t hear back within a reasonable time, feel free to contact us — sometimes messages land in spam.

If this is your first OttawaPups event (or your first time exploring pup play socially), we’re glad you found us. Our events are designed to be approachable, respectful, and low-pressure.
What You Should Know
- You don’t need gear, a pup name, or experience
- You’re never expected to participate
- Watching, socializing, or simply meeting people is completely okay
- Consent and boundaries are always respected
What to Bring
Essentials
- Government-issued ID (18+ events)
- A respectful, open attitude
Optional
- Pup gear (only if you want)
- Comfortable clothing
- Water/non-alcoholic drink (venue-dependent)
What Not to Bring
- Cameras/recording devices (unless explicitly permitted)
- Drugs/illegal substances
- Weapons of any kind
- Uninvited guests
- Anything that compromises consent, privacy, or safety
